Adelaide Wool Co. is Australia’s largest ‘on farm’ wool-buying firm and with a rich tradition stretching back more than 40 years, it has grown to become the second biggest wool company in South Australia, with a 16% market share.

 

Adelaide Wool Co. group of companies includes Adelaide Wool, River Wool and Southern Wool.

 

Although principally based in South Australia, Adelaide Wool Co. has depots and wool stores in western Victoria and western New South Wales.

 

In early 2007 Adelaide Wool Co. group of companies was purchased by Australia’s leading agribusiness, ABB Grain.

 

The acquisition allows Adelaide Wool Co. to provide a greater range of new services and products to its clients.

 

Adelaide Wool Co. now operates as a division of ABB Grain and trades at wool stores at Gillman, Port Lincoln, Naracoorte, Mount Gambier and Millicent and maintains further depots in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
